LOCATION

Kingdom Festival will take place at Reach Out for Christ Church, 288 Gooding Drive, Carrara, conveniently located on the beautiful Gold Coast. This venue provides a perfect setting for our celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles.

For those traveling from outside the area, we recommend staying at the nearby Mercure Resort. It’s just a short distance (Right next door) from the venue, making it easy to get to and from the festival each day.

The Gold Coast is easily accessible by car, train, and air. If you’re flying in, the Gold Coast Airport is just a short drive away. We recommend renting a car or using local rideshare services for the most convenient travel to the venue. Ample parking is available on-site.

Get ready for a week of celebration and fellowship! On the opening night, we’ll kick things off with a potluck dinner, so bring a dish to share—just remember to avoid pork and shellfish. Don’t forget to pack your most festive attire—think Hawaiian shirts, vibrant dresses, and anything that puts you in a celebratory mood. Throughout the festival, be sure to bring something for taking notes, whether it’s a notepad, journal, smartphone, or laptop. We’ll also have a resource center where you can purchase materials from our speakers to support your spiritual journey.

In between sessions, take advantage of the beautiful Gold Coast. Whether it’s relaxing on the beach, exploring local cafes, or joining fellow attendees for a movie or coffee, there’s plenty to do. We’ve also planned some group activities to make your afternoons memorable.

The Feast of Tabernacles, also known as Sukkot, is a special time of celebration, reflection, and community. Traditionally, this week-long festival is a period when work is set aside, and people come together to rejoice before the Lord. It’s a time to dwell in temporary shelters, enjoy fellowship, and remember God’s provision and faithfulness.

At Kingdom Festival, we honor this tradition by creating an immersive experience that spans from the evening of October 16th through to Sunday evening, October 20th. To fully embrace the spirit of the Feast of Tabernacles, we encourage you to take the entire week off from work. This will allow you to fully participate in the festival’s activities, teachings, and worship sessions without distraction.

By setting aside this time, you’ll be able to connect more deeply with God, build meaningful relationships with fellow attendees, and truly experience the joy and significance of Sukkot. Start planning now—mark your calendar, arrange your time off, and prepare for a week that will refresh your spirit and strengthen your faith.

In Queensland, religious protections in the workplace are governed by both state and federal laws. These laws require employers to provide reasonable accommodations for employees’ religious practices, including requests for time off to observe religious holidays such as the Feast of Tabernacles, as long as the accommodation does not create undue hardship for the employer.

Under Queensland’s Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, employers are prohibited from discriminating based on a person’s religious beliefs or practices. This means they must consider requests for leave to observe religious holidays and make accommodations if it is practical and doesn’t significantly disrupt business operations. Additionally, the federal Fair Work Act 2009 also provides similar protections, reinforcing that employers should accommodate religious practices unless it causes substantial operational difficulties.

When approaching your employer, it’s helpful to explain that the Feast of Tabernacles is a significant religious observance and that Queensland law requires reasonable accommodation for such requests. You can mention that the request is supported by both state and federal law, ensuring that employers understand their obligations to make adjustments where possible.

For students, schools and universities also follow similar anti-discrimination principles, allowing for time off to observe religious holidays like the Feast of Tabernacles.

Kingdom Festival is deeply rooted in the biblical celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles, which reflects God’s covenant promises. Whether you’re just beginning your journey of understanding God’s appointments and their eternal nature or whether you are a seasoned expert, the festival will aim to prepare you for the great day of our coming Messiah – Jesus.

The festival is open to everyone! In Leviticus 23, God refers to these as His appointed times, and He has entrusted the Jewish people with the responsibility of guarding and observing these festivals. However, they are not limited to Jews. Zechariah 14 speaks of a future Messianic era, when Jesus is reigning on earth, and all nations will be required to observe the Feast of Tabernacles. Those who participate will receive blessings like rain, while those who do not will face consequences, such as drought and plagues. This is a foreshadowing that God desires all people to join in celebrating His appointed times.

Why not take this opportunity to experience the joy of the Feast of Tabernacles with us? It may seem unfamiliar, but this festival is a prophetic glimpse into a future when all nations will celebrate together in Jerusalem. By participating now, you’re preparing for that time of unity and blessing.

We believe in the unity of Jews and Gentiles in the Messiah. Whether you’re Jewish or a believer from any background, Kingdom Festival will deepen your faith and connect you to God’s heart for His people.

Kingdom Festival creates a warm, welcoming environment. Many attendees come alone but leave with new friendships. Whether it’s during worship, teaching sessions, or at our community potluck, there are numerous opportunities to meet and connect with others. If you’re feeling alone or unsure, know that you will find a safe space here to build relationships and be part of a supportive community.
